ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to enter or win, entrant must be an individual 18 years of age or older and who has reached the age of majority in his or her state of residence, a legal resident of the 50 United States (includes the District of Columbia). Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Lowe’s Companies, Inc. (“Sponsor”), BBDO New York (“BBDO”), Use All Five, Inc. (“UA5”), GMR Marketing LLC (“GMR”), and each of their respective agencies, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotional partners, sales representatives, and promotion and other vendor agencies involved in this Promotion (collectively “Released Parties”) and the immediate family (defined for the purposes of this Promotion as parents, spouses, siblings, children) and household members of all such employees, are NOT eligible to participate in the Promotion and/or win a prize. Promotion is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Lowe’s® PlantaTweet Sweepstakes (the “Promotion”), visit plantatweet.com between 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on May 1, 2012 and 11:59 p.m. ET on July 31, 2012 (the “Promotion Period”). Follow the directions to create a Tweet that is made of available text characters to resemble a “flower” or “plant” OR select from a pre-built Tweet that resembles a “flower” or “plant”. You must then authorize your Twitter Account to interoperate with plantatweet.com, provide your e-mail address, verify that you are 18 years of age or older and a legal adult in your state of residence, accept the Official Rules and Lowe’s® Privacy Policy, and click “Submit”. Clicking “Submit” will post your Tweet on Twitter and will “plant” your “flower” or “plant” Tweet in the virtual “garden”. A shortened URL link, the Twitter hashtag, #plantatweet, and a short message will be added to the “flower” or “plant” Tweet. Limit one (1) entry per person/email account holder during the Promotion Period. If your Twitter account is private, your Tweets will NOT be eligible. Please note: You must have a valid Twitter account and agree to the Twitter Terms of Use and the Twitter Privacy Policy in order to eligible to enter. Registration on Twitter must be completed before an entry may be submitted. Twitter membership is free. The Twitter platform will be the official time clock for the Promotion. In addition, in order to accumulate additional points pursuant to Promotion, you may be required to have a valid Pinterest and foursquare® (“foursquare”) account. Membership to such additional websites is free. Entries received from any person or email account holder in excess of the stated limitation will be void and Sponsor in its discretion may disqualify those involved. The Released Parties and each of their respective agencies, affiliates, parents, subsidiaries and their promotional partners, sales representatives, distributors, directors, officers, employees, agents, assigns, and successors-in-interest and any advertising, promotion or other vendor agencies involved in this Promotion are NOT responsible for any lost, late, delayed, or misdirected entries, or the marketing or fulfillment of the Promotion. Entries, flowers, and tweets that contain information that is deemed to be lewd or profane; contain material that violates or infringes on another’s rights, including privacy, publicity or intellectual property; material that is hateful or defamatory; material that promotes bigotry, racism, or harm against a group or individual or promotes discrimination; or material that is unlawful or in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state, may be disqualified as determined solely by Sponsor. All entries, flowers, and tweets will be reviewed for content. Entries, flowers, and tweets containing such prohibited content and/or otherwise deemed by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate will be disqualified. Sponsor makes the final determination as to what Tweets are eligible to take part in the Promotion. By entering, entrants agree that all entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged. By entering, each entrant grants Sponsor the perpetual, unlimited and irrevocable right to post, publish, adapt, edit, make derivative works and/or otherwise use the Entry in any manner, including copyright, and in any media now known or hereafter developed. Entry must be made by the authorized email account holder at the time of entry. Entry posts must stay within the character limit for Twitter. Sponsor in its sole discretion reserves the right to extend the Promotion Period. If such event occurs, current entrants who have not accumulated fifty (50) points by the end of the initial Promotion Period will be notified via e-mail to the e-mail address provided on the initial entry.
HOW TO EARN POINTS: Entrants are able to accumulate points via social media activities on Twitter, Pinterest, and foursquare. The first ten-thousand (10,000) entrants to accumulate fifty (50) points by 11:59 p.m. ET on July 31, 2012 will be awarded one (1) $10 Lowe’s gift card.

DETERMINATION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: As determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the first ten thousand (10,000) eligible entries that receive fifty (50) points during the Promotion Period will be designated as the potential Prize winners, subject to confirmation of eligibility. The potential Prize winners will be notified on or about fourteen (14) days following the accumulation of fifty (50) points via e-mail to the e-mail address provided at the time of entry. You will need to provide first and last name, address, city, state, zip code. The Prize will be fulfilled within approximately seven (7) days following winner verification. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable or failure to accept any prize within the specified time period may result in disqualification and forfeiture of prize. Final designation as a Prize Winner depends on verification of eligibility as determined by Sponsor.
PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received and point-getting abilities.
Ten thousand (10,000) Prizes:
One (1) ten dollar ($10) Lowe’s® Gift sent electronically. Lowe's® Gift Cards are subject to state and federal regulations and are redeemable for merchandise only unless prohibited by law and cannot be used to make payments on any charge/credit account. Lowe's® Gift Cards may be redeemed online, have no expiration date, and may not be resold.

TOTAL APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE OF ALL PRIZES TO BE AWARDED DURING THE PROMOTION PERIOD IS $100,000.
All federal, state, and local taxes and fees on a prize are the sole responsibility of the Prize winners. Prize is nontransferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is allowed, except in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prize consists only of the items specifically listed as part of the prize. To the extent any winner redeems the gift card, any and all guarantees and warranties for merchandise purchased is subject to the manufacturers’ and/or service providers’ terms and conditions, and winner agrees to look solely to such manufacturers and/or service providers for any warranty or guarantee claim. Sponsor, in its sole discretion reserves the right to substitute prize of the same approximate retail value. To the extent Prize winners use any of the Lowe’s gift cards towards installation services, the terms and conditions of Lowe’s standard installation agreement shall prevail.
Publicity Release. Except where prohibited, entry into the Promotion and/or acceptance of a prize constitutes consent that the entrant’s and winner’s name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical data may be used for advertising and promotional purposes without limitation and without additional notice, compensation, or consent.
ONLINE REGISTRATION: This Promotion is intended for viewing in the United States only and shall be construed and evaluated only according to U.S. law. Do not enter this Promotion if you are not located in and a resident of the United States of America. The use of any automated devices in connection with this Promotion is prohibited. If for any reason, the computerized entry portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the control of Sponsor and/or its affiliates which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or point accumulation system and to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Promotion. Neither Sponsor nor its affiliates assume any responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, including any error that may result in an erroneous appearance of qualification for a prize. Neither Sponsor nor its affiliates are responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any computer equipment or software that results in loss of entry or points or failure to calculate points. WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY COMPUTERIZED SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR AND ITS AFFILIATES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGE FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Promotion entries or attempts to get points generated by a script, macro or other mechanical or automated means are ineligible as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion and will be disqualified. All entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. In the event of dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry. The Authorized Account Holder is the person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
BY ENTERING, entrant agrees to accept and abide by the Official Rules of this Promotion. All decisions by Sponsor and GMR regarding this Promotion are final. By entering, entrant agrees to be notified via e-mail as provided on the entrant’s Official Entry Form by the Sponsor or GMR for the purposes of the administration of this Promotion. By entering and/or accepting a prize, entrant agrees to hold harmless Released Parties and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotional partners, subsidiaries, service agencies, independent contractors, and all of the officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of the above organizations from any and all injury, loss or damage to person, including death or property, due in-whole or in-part, directly or indirectly, to the acceptance or use/misuse of a prize, participation in the Promotion and any related activity. Neither Sponsor nor its affiliates are responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of this offer, administration of the Promotion, or in the announcement of prizes. In the event the Sponsor is prevented from continuing with this Promotion, or the integrity and/or feasibility of the Promotion is undermined by any event including, but not limited to fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, war (declared or undeclared), terrorist threat or activity, or any federal, state or local government law, order or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or by other cause not reasonably within the Sponsor’s control (each a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), Sponsor shall have the right, in its discretion, to abbreviate, modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Promotion without further obligation. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. If Sponsor, in its sole discretion, elects to abbreviate the Promotion as a result of a Force Majeure event, Sponsor reserves the right, but shall have no obligation, to award the prize from among all valid and eligible entries received up to the time of such Force Majeure event. All entries are the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
